Business 2000 CD: Multiple copies of the Business 2000 CD are sent with the resource pack to your school each year. The CD contains additional interactive resources and revision tools for students. All the information contained in the resource pack is available on the CD. Many teachers find it useful to print copies of the case studies from the Business 2000 CD without having to go online or photocopy the A4 hard copy.

The website is a complete collection of all the Business 2000 multimedia resources and archives. The website is updated regularly with news from the business world, Business 2000 articles from the The Sunday Business Post, online student surveys, student competitions and additional teacher/student resources.
There are many ways to use the Business 2000 multimedia resource to enhance your classroom activities. The case studies in the hard copy format can be displayed on classroom walls. A4 copies can be easily printed from the PDF version of each case study and distributed for assignment purposes. Student can use the CD and Business 2000 website at home or in the computer lab.
The major learning points of each case study are described alongside the study title to assist students and teachers find appropriate material to explore. This facility will assist you when planning your class. It will help you identify and link textbook topics with the relevant business case studies. Every effort is made to source material on as a wide a spectrum as possible. You will find that the case studies are far broader than the key learning outcomes indicated. These are intended as guidelines to some of the more obvious topics covered in the case studies. The Tasks & Activities for each business case study provides opportunities to set various assignments, to develop projects and to stimulate classroom discussion. Some teachers find this particularly useful in Transition Year when there is more time available. Tasks & Activities are designed to enhance learning through a mix of academic and practical activities. Many tasks call for research, group work or debate. Teachers can customise these tasks as required and use innovative approaches to these tasks. Oral reports, role-play and table quiz sessions can be very effective.
A glossary of common business terms is included at the end of each of the hard copy case studies. On the CD, glossary items are immediately accessible to students as a roll-over feature on the words within each case study. The Revision Quizzes are a comprehensive series of test questions specifically linked to topics from the various business, economics and LCVP subjects. Many teachers encourage students to use the Revision Quizzes in preparation for exams. The Business Challenge, the Economics Challenge and the LCVP Challenge are available online and on the Business 2000 CD ROM.
